There are a lot of dates to keep track of when you are preparing to take the CFA® Exam. We’ve made infographics below that detail the timeline for registering and paying for your exam.
The CFA® Exam includes three levels spread out into three exams. CFA Level I has three different testing dates. CFA Level II has three different testing dates. There are only two testing windows to choose from for CFA Level III.
There are three times you can register for your CFA® exam–early, standard, and final (late). . The earlier you register, the cheaper the registration fee will be. Also, you will receive your topic tests once you register. So register as soon as you can in order to take advantage of extra study time with the topic tests.
There are CFA® Program Awareness Scholarships available as long as you apply before the deadline. These scholarships are role-based opportunities available to qualified individuals in the media, academic, and financial communities. There are even scholarships for women who are interested in earning their CFA® charter.

CFA Level I
Below are the most important dates to keep in mind for the 2023 CFA Level I exam offerings.
The dates for the 2023 CFA® Level I exams are as follows:
February 14-20, 2023
May 16-22, 2023
August 22-28, 2023
November 11-17, 2023
To take the February exam, you must be registered by November 8th, 2022
To take the May exam, you must be registered by January 31, 2023
To take the August exam, you must be registered by May 9, 2023
To take the November exam, you must be registered by August 8th, 2023
CFA Level II
If you’re preparing for the CFA Level II Exam, you’ll want to keep these dates in mind.
The dates for the 2023 CFA® Level II exams are as follows:
May 23-27, 2023
August 29 – September 2, 2023
November 18 – 22, 2023
To take the May exam, you must be registered by January 31, 2023
To take the August exam, you must be registered by May 9, 2023
To take the November exam, you must be registered by August 8th, 2023
CFA Level III
CFA Level III candidates should be aware of the following information for both test dates.
